This homemade recipe we've been making for years and was handed down to us by... someone. Adding smoked bacon is what gives it the (I'm doing the Italian kiss-fingertips-and-toss-away gesture), wonderful flavour! We sprinkled a bit of shredded mozzarella cheese on top for extra goodness!
Recipe
Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 600 g of fresh GROUND BEEF
- 400 g of dried SPAGHETTI
- 3 tbsp of BUTTER
- 1/4 tsp SALT(or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp PEPPER (or to taste)
- 180 ml of TOMATO PASTE (about 6-8 tbsps)
- 6 slices of SMOKED BACON cut up
- 2-3 tsps of (your favourite) spaghetti SPICES
- 600 ml WATER
Instructions:
1. Melt around 3 tbsp of butter in a pot.
3. Toss in cut bacon. Cook for a few mins.
